Prog rock
- What the fuck is that shit? Nerdy and pretentious and irritating and yet somehow also the most thoroughly bland music ever created. Pretty much consigned to the dustbin of music history but somehow still popular among the denizens of WHO, judging by the What are you listening to now thread.
Heavy metal
- When I was at school only the posh kids liked it. I think they thought it was rebellious. Given the long haired perms, spandex pants and falsetto vocals the only thing remotely rebellious about it is that it's so fucking gay.
Reggae
- Pretty much the diametrical opposite of the first two, reggae is nevertheless awful. It's dull, plodding and monotonous. Possibly useful as a soporific when sleeping pills don't do the trick but otherwise worthless.

As as kid in the 80s I loathed what was known then as hair rock or poodle rock, white snake, bon jovi, poison etc etc.
Not a genre but also couldn't stand U2, took themselves way too seriously and probably still do.

In general I just dislike bad music. However, I rarely listen to any rock, pop, theatre music, Japanese Kabuki, Balinese Gamelan, Gipsy folk, Balkan Electro, intelligent D&B plus a few other sub genres of house music.
